What to Bring:

• Sun screen
• Hat
• Lunch, snacks and drinks (please place in a cooler bag with an ice pack) (Peanut free please!)
• Hand sanitizer
• Children to arrive wearing pants/jeans
• Children to bring shorts for the afternoon
• Children to arrive wearing a boot with a small heal (inexpensive hiking boots or second hand riding boots will work) *No riding in running shoes or sandals!
• Helmet (if you do not have a helmet you can borrow one of ours but it is best to get one that will fit your child correctly)

What to Expect:

• Be prepared to have fun…and lots of it!
• Iron Horse supplies the horses/ponies & tack
• Daily morning meet and greet
• Grooming and Tacking up
• Horse Safety Lessons
• Daily Lesson Time (Two groups of 8 per day)
• Crafts and Organized Games
• Nature walk to the creek and scavenger hunt (Bring shorts for wading in the water)
• “Horse Whispering” Learn how to communicate with your horse
• Theory Lessons – Parts of a horse, parts of a saddle etc.
• Friday Show – Ribbons for the kids! Parents Welcome! 3:30 p.m. Showtime!

Summer Camp Dates, Time & Age Requirements:

• Monday, July 5 to Friday, July 9, 2010
• Monday, July 26 to Friday, July 30, 2010
• Tuesday, August 3 to Friday, August 6, 2010
• Monday, August 9 to Friday, August 13, 2010

Ages: Children aged 8 through 14

Cost: $315.00 (Includes GST and a $75.00 non-refundable deposit to be paid upon registration)

*Parents will be required to sign a waver prior to their children taking part in the summer camp holding Iron Horse Equestrian Centre harmless in the event of an accident. 

Daily Meet and Greet Time: 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Camp Start Time: 9:00 a.m.

Pick Up Time: 4:30 p.m. (Friday 3:30 p.m. SHOW)
